TWITTER!

This assignment was fun for me. I know some people use Twitter to gain knowledge and learn, but for the most part I use Twitter for recreational values. I love scrolling my timeline and seeing all the hilarious statements my friends, and many other people have posted. Like I said before, Twitter can help you access knowledge. I enjoy clicking the "discover" button at the top of the page and learning all the things that are going on around the world, new trends, and gossip with my circle of friends. Twitter is an incredible invention that I think will be around for quite sometime. You really can't ignore it, even if you want to. Once you get on, and get the hang of it, I think it would be incredibly hard to just get rid of.

1st post!

Today I've decided to write my first post (well not really decided. I just realized it is due Today) that will involve me talking about literally anything, and everything that comes to mind. I guess I'll start with why I'm at Marquette and how it came to be.

My road to Marquette is kind of random, and different, but I’m incredibly glad that I got here. The only reason I heard of Marquette was because of lacrosse. I play for the inaugural varsity Marquette Women's Lacrosse team, which I’m very proud of. I'm very excited, and blessed to be a part of the program. I was headed to a completely different school at the end of my senior year of high school. I was planning on attending a state school in Minnesota, and playing soccer there, but with an unfortunate end to my senior lacrosse season, I just didn't want to stop. With plans all set to go to my other school, my coach and my family began looking for schools that I could play lacrosse at. My coach had heard that Marquette was building a program and helped me out a ton. My high school lacrosse team fundraised enough money for myself and another aspiring D1 lacrosse player from the town over, to fly out to New York to play in the national tournament. Because of that experience, I was able to network with another player who was set to play lacrosse at Notre Dame. I told her I wanted to play, but didn't know where, and she recommended me to current coaching staff. In the summer before my freshman year of college, I signed to play lacrosse for Marquette. My path to Marquette was not ideal, but I'm so glad I was led here. I've been given so many amazing opportunities that I would not have received had I gone elsewhere. I'm excited for all the things in store for myself and especially for my team.
